Yesterday 2 friends came over for sewing, conversation and pizza. They approved of my border idea for the Rattlesnake quilt (still waiting for a new name) that will make it into a rectangular shape rather than a square. There will be a strip of fabric separating the center section and the 2 borders. Then we all agreed a binding is all it will require to finish off the edges.
I am hand drawing the paper piecing border. I have a huge roll of paper that I cut a large hunk off of and then sliced it into the width pieces needed and then measured and marked the lines. When I get near the end of one piece, I tape on the next section and continue. It is going to take a little over 3 and a half sections per border.
