I started this quilt back on November 7 last year, the week before I had the surgical procedure on my eye. I finished making the blocks in January and then it waited for the sashing strips and corner squares. I finally got it all sewn together by mid-afternoon yesterday. In the morning I sewed the Buzz Saw blocks into a top but forgot to take a photo.
Last night I found a piece of fabric for the strip that is between the center of this quilt and the borders and sewed it together. I removed the paper from the borders while I watched TV last night. Now I have 3 flannel quilts ready to quilt. I have to make a road trip today so I hope I can choose some backings when I get home.
Last year in March we had 8 days in the 80s and many days over 60 degrees. This year we have only made it to the upper 40s. I'm glad it is a more normal late winter/early spring this year.
