Yesterday afternoon it rained....hard.....quite an event this summer. The white streak on the street is a 'wave' of rain being pushed along by the high winds. The weatherman said we haven't had this kind of rain for a month and a half and I agree. Some towns near us got 1.75" in the half hour it rained so I'm guessing we got about the same and maybe more. I could see the rainwater in the birdbath in the backyard from the kitchen window and I think it had to be 2" or more to bring it up to that level. So that was the event of the day after a very hot and tropical humidity start to the day.A big event......
