Block progress.......

This is the variety of frog prints in this new quilt that I will show tonight.
I got one stack sliced and resewn.  I will do one more stack today.  I think I will keep the last stack for demonstrating at the workshop.
If you live near here, the details are in this article from our local newspaper.  They misspelled my last name  but it is really me they are talking about.
The redbuds have leafed out and the flowers are still there after 3 weeks.  In most years, the rain knocks the petals off after about a week.  This year we have had very little rain so it is a longer blooming period.
I had to do a quick trial run for a colorwash with the African fabrics.  I needed to see if I had to add any more fabrics.  The pile at the right are regular fabrics with animal skin prints that I will probably cut in case I want to add them.  Added later: this photo is taken from the stairs coming down to the basement and the design board is 30" x 40".
We got some more rain but the severe weather missed us.  I haven't heard how much rain we got yet but the hostas have really perked up.
