HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

The new year is here! Time to make promises to myself that I only need to reveal to others if I want to. I'm sure you will hear a few of them in the next few days.

I hung all of the rest of the unfinished quilt tops on hangers yesterday, 22 more. So that makes 43 either ready to be quilted, waiting for borders, or needing some other decisions before finishing. Now if I just make 9 more I will have one to finish in each of the 52 weeks of 2010. Does that sound like a plan?
Just in case you are a new reader and think I don't finish anything, here is one other closet with finished quilts in it. I also have a cupboard full of them. AND I gave away 33 finished quilts to family members last year.

Speaking of finishing, I did finish the quilting on the Blooming 9-Patch (directions in "Traditions with a Twist" by Blanche Young) and got the edges trimmed ready for binding.
It measured 89" x 108" after quilting. As you can see in the picture below, the rails of the bed frame show (and the storage box under the bed) so it would need a dust ruffle on a queen size bed. I'm not a fan of dust ruffles so even though I thought it would be perfect in my sunshine yellow guest bedroom, now I'm not sure I will use it in there. I can't pull it over to this side either because the design wouldn't be centered on the bed then.I hope all of you have a prosperous, happy, and peaceful new year. Welcome 2010!!
