Straightening...........

When I am cutting off of my batik yardage and there is only about 1/4 yard left I put it on a pile on the table.  Yesterday the pile was threatening to topple over so I sorted the pieces by color and stacked them into a neater pile.  There are 195 fabrics in that 10.5" tall pile.  At today's prices at a local quilt shop ($11.95 per yard) that is $582.56 worth of fabric.

I cut 2 binding strips from the leftover backing fabric and sewed it onto the dark edges of this quilt.  I haven't decided whether I'll change to a lighter color for the other half or just use this all the way around it.  I started the hand sewing last night.
