I just need to add 6 more blocks on the right and it will be ready to sew together. I have all of the blocks made (made 8 last night). I just was too lazy to move it over to a double wall so I could finish the layout. There is another quilt in the book that does a large spiral of pieces laid out like this. I see they have to be all angled the same direction and I have been cutting mine angled in both directions for the first quilt.
I played around with some other layouts too. This one would make vertical columns but kind of boring. The one below is wonky pinwheels, REALLY WONKY pinwheels, hardly recognizable. Again I think they need to be all cut at the same angle and I have them cut both ways.
