The nice thing about cutting large prints in layers is that you get many different looks from them. With the seashell print I can use one as a light center and one as a dark center. The mum print has all different looks so I can use 3 if not all 4 of them. Notice the stripe in the top left pieces.......
I have used that print once before in a different colorway but cut it crosswise. It has been bothering me and I think it will get pulled out of the mix.
I wondered what it would look like if all of the edge diamonds were the same fabric. Then I have to decide if they will all have the same sashing fabric on them or a variety of fabrics. So many options.....
I visited Dad at his assisted living house yesterday and he seems happy. He was talkative and got tears in his eyes when I was leaving. I saw him last Friday and he was very unhappy that day which made me very unhappy too. I'm glad to see the change. He likes the home cooked food there so I hope he'll gain back some of the weight he lost.
