I rewarded myself with some design time last night. Earlier in the afternoon I had passed on my portion of a project to a group that is going to finish it and I finally have some free time. None of these are sewn, just placed on the design wall. I think my fabric selection is working well. How did I select them? I just pulled a bunch of my favorite batiks, the ones that had been too precious to cut, and then added a few strategic values that were missing. I think I will limit myself to just this group. I have enough of each fabric left to cut a few more pieces if I want to make it larger.
This is the view from my mailbox (lower right corner of the photo). I took my mail out of the mailbox and immediately went to get my camera. The close up shot a couple days ago is of the lower branch on the left side of the tree in my neighbor's yard. I have to duck under it when mowing.
