I finally finished sorting the huge pileof scraps I showed a couple times in the last week or two. The neater piles will take up such a little space compared to the mess all stuffed in a bag. These piles are sorted loosely into colors and/or values and are all full width clean up cuts.
This is the pile of less than full width pieces. This is the third pile of them.
After I iron them, I hang the longest pieces over a couple hangers. The short pieces go into the bins of playtime scraps like the ones I used for the last few things I have made. I don't plan any of the little strip pieced fun pieces; they are just made out of whatever is in the little bin. I sewed the last of the individual diamonds together on my Kaffe quilt and sewed about 2/3 of the zig zag quilt together last night. Maybe they will be ready for a photo shoot later today.
