We missed out on the big snow but what little we had was drifting on the streets and country roads. 40 mph winds. I stayed home and continued making purple journal covers. The one on the right is quilted in the ditch.
One more purple one and then I'll switch colors. I got the lining sewn on after I took the photo so it is ready to quilt.
I did switch thread once when I ran out of purple bobbin thread and had just finished one of the purple covers. I used a variegated thread on this one and did the randomly spaced lines of quilting.
I found some little notebooks with a floral pocket folder in front of the pages to write on. All of the notebooks in this group are the 5" x 7" size.
Our church sewing circle cancelled today. It is supposed to be about 10 degrees and very windy again. Most of us are in the senior age bracket and none of us want to slip on ice and break a bone. I would hate to have car trouble on a day that cold too. We had enough pillowcases done to deliver the first load anyway and we will continue on them in January and maybe February. Our goal is to give 100 to the domestic abuse shelter.
