I just needed a play night..........
last night. I just grabbed the scrap bag of Kaffe prints and made some blocks. These are similar to the ones I used for 2 little quilts earlier this year. I just needed the sewing machine humming away.
"Anonymous" identified the flower from yesterday's post, Valerian. Here is what Wikipedia says:
Other names used for this plant include garden valerian (to distinguish it from other Valeriana species), garden heliotrope (although not related to Heliotropium) and all-heal.

I guess my friend's grandma was right in calling it heliotrope after all. It is an herb with compounds made from the root.
