Here is the sunset last night. Being in town with so many trees in my back yard I never have a clear shot of sky like I see on so many blogs. I thought this one was rather breathtaking with all of the branches crisscrossing in front of the beautiful colors.
Yesterday in the comments Jackie mentioned that she had her strata sewn for her Strips and Curves class today with the author Louisa L. Smith. I recommended that she take a picture of the strata before she cut into it. Then I remembered that I hadn't taken a picture of the black and white one (which I have one left over) for
this quilt.
Until I read the comments when I first showed this one, I didn't realize how many people didn't even know there was pieced strata in it. I have been guilty of that too, looking at the beauty of a whole quilt and not even realizing the amount of work that went into the piecing.
