Sample for a local store

This is the pattern the owner handed me and she said she would like it to have the appliqued leaves like the sample in the picture shows. I have made this bag several times over the years, but never totally following the pattern.This is what the piece of patchwork looks like after assembly and quilting but before the bag is finished..

Yesterday in the comments Lyn asked about my projects with Kaffe fabrics. I have found that most fabrics don't look that terrific with the Kaffe fabrics but by accident I realized that batiks work rather well with them. I usually use all Kaffe, or Kaffe and some of the other designers for Westminster/Rowan fabrics like Philip Jacobs in my quilts. One example of the Kaffe and batiks quilts is here. I have a few more quilts in my future from these fabrics, so stay tuned.
