Yesterday was a dreary day with snow flurries for about 5 or 6 hours. We didn't get much accumulation but it was a not very cheery. So what did I do? I made my own sunshine. I had this piece of yellow strip patchwork that wasn't quite big enough for one of these little bags.
I added the yellow/gold floral fabric to all 4 sides and trimmed it to the size I needed.
You can get a little more perspective of the size with the rotary cutter laying beside it.
I could have agonized for hours on what quilting design to do on it, but getting it done was more important so I went with my first instinct of random diagonal lines. I used a yellow variegated thread, which doesn't show up that much but it made me happy using it.
