A lot of the commenters are anonymous so I have no way of contacting you to thank you for your comments (but thank you). I love all of the suggestions because they help me see things I am not seeing already. Several of you have asked about doing more than one border so here are two samples of it that way. Here are my 2 favorite fabrics so far combined. I don't want the border shouting BORDER. I want it to be a soft extension of the center. Be sure to click on it to see the zebra print clearly.
Here is the other that several of you suggested. I just used the left over blocks that I already had and they filled 2 sides. Then as I looked at it through the camera lens, I am saying, yes, only 2 pieced borders and then maybe just a narrow strip of batik on the outside at right and a little wider soft batik across the bottom.
I'm off to get my hair cut right now so I'll work on it some more when I get home.
