Earlier this year I decided to play with the narrowest little batik scraps, ranging anywhere from 3/4" to about 1 1/4" in width. They were again from the cutaway when clean cutting a batik for a project. I sewed together groups and played with several layouts and configurations.This is what I came up with for my final idea. Notice that the outside border is made of two different black background fabrics with a very subtle difference. A photo doesn't do just to this piece. It literally glows like jewels.
